How many of these articles are there? Did they start in Sep '12 or do they go back further somewhere?
The first article in this series was the original article linked in Jeremy Grenemyer's opening post for this scroll. I've since linked to each and every article release from that time.

It's incredibly uplifting for me to read that my own process of writing NPC's into my Realms often mirrors that of Ed's own workings, as per the latest "Forging the Realms" article:- Elkaskyn Horncastle.
I liked the Elkaskyn Horncastle and Noble Investments one. In fact, I really liked the Noble Investments one for a more real world reason. If you portray the nobles of the realms as instead the well off investors/small businessmen of America, you can see the similarities of how they help shape the world economy so much more than the government giving out allocations. It behooves the realms to have nobles, and those nobles who are wise prosper... those that aren't, fail. Failure can be a good thing, one it seems the kings of the realms understand.
Ed really has been giving my favourite Realms race a lot of love, lately, and this continues with his latest foray into "Forging the Realms" -- Imroad Gaskulyn.
"These things also I have observed: that knowledge of our world is to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious thing we have. Wherefore guard the word written and heed words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn then, well, the arts of reading, writing, and listening true, and they will lead you to the greatest art of all: understanding." Alaundo of Candlekeep
Well, no. The Haunted Armor existed (in Ed's home campaign and notes, because we Knights had some passing involvement with it) before any movie starring any Marvel characters was ever made. I'll grant you Iron Man appeared in the Saturday morning animated cartoon around that time, and that Ed was a huge buyer and reader of comics back in the days when Gwen Stacey was still alive in Spiderman, but . . . Ed's writing some brand-new stuff and dusting off ancient treasures and writing about them in a new way for this column. I'm enjoying it hugely, and waiting for things and events and characters and power groups I know to pop up. love, THO
Whip me if I am breaching code of conduct, but if anyone's interested I have compiled all "Forging the Realms" - articles so far and put them together in a PDF file with page numbers and a list of contents to easily find the article. I'm working on doing the same for "Adventure Locales".

That's cool.
As it is, some of us have long been adherents to saving Wizards Realms online content to Word or PDF files, with varying degrees of success.
It's a particularly useful habit to have when Wizards start shifting/removing content from their website and it becomes more difficult to find/access.

Indeed. I've long saved the interesting content to Word files, and have way more than I care to organize. I also save interesting lore from these forums to text files.
Funny that you should mention saving lore to text files and having way more than is possible to organise.
I am currently gathering all lore (and I mean all) I can find on the forgotten realms; places, people, gods, artefacts, organisations, which I am then organising and cross referencing. Its sad I know but it makes it easier to DM if all the information is in one place and organised.
Currently I have gathered almost all the 3rd edition lore from sourcebooks and quite a few 2nd edition sourcebooks (the volo's guidebooks).
Currently as it stands I have 87 mb of word documents (with maps pictures included) and I reckon I am only 10% of the way through. There truly is a staggering amount of lore out there, and the best bits are on these forums.
Unfortunately because I have lifted the lore out of books I don't think I could ever share it with anyone should I finish it.
