Hi all! >_> <_<
I've been lurking for a bit now and decided to finally join :)
My name is Erica. I'm 22, born and raised in Chicago, and going to school for Graphic and Web Design. I'm fairly "new" to the fantasy world. I've been reading fantasy for nearly 2 years now and I absolutely love it. I don't know why I didn't discover it sooner!
My boyfriend first introduced me to Streams of Silver, the 5th book in The Legend of Drizzt series. Yeah, out of order, I know XD But no worries, once I finished the series, I went back and read the first 4 :p
Currently, I am reading Book III in Sacrifice of the Widow/ The Lady Penitent by Lisa Smedman. I was intrigued that there was a spin-off to the War of the Spider Queen series, and so far I am dreading the end of this book . I don't want it to end!!! Oh well, all good things must come to an end. So if anyone would like to drop me some suggestions, I'd appreciate it :)
Anyway, if anyone has any questions, just ask :) Or just say hi. I don't bite :p

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

Unfortunately, Salvatore's writing sort of fizzled out for me personally after Road of the Patriarch. I might end up reading his last few Realms series one day, but that day is a long way off...and in a galaxy far, far away. |

Really? I enjoyed Road of the Patriarch. Mostly because I love Entreri and Jarlaxle. And Athrogate grew on me :p.
And the Neverwinter series are a bit disappointing to me because the companions are no longer together. It almost feels like I am reading The Lone Drow, not that it was completely terrible, just not one of my favorites. I miss the companions and I'm not really digging the new setting and Drizzt's new companion Dahlia. |
