The game I keep returning to is Baldur's Gate 2. Minsc and Boo got me hooked on the Realms before I was even fully aware that D&D existed. A friend of mine handed me a copy of the game and told me I would love it. He was right. For sourcebooks, the 3E FR Campaign Guide. I picked that up when I stumbled across it at a local hobby store and was thrilled to find it had more information about the game world I loved. That led me to the Player's Handbook and the rest is history. For novels, pick an Erevis Cale book... I can't decide. |
