I am looking for ideas on what outfit parts might be good for a magic user in Skyrim. Some of the robes look pretty lame, especially the Archmage's Robes. I am not worried as much about the enchantment as much as how good it actually looks. I am considering putting the Nightingale Hood or Dark Brotherhood Mask with other items. Thoughts?

Is this Forgotten Realms related in some way? What is Skyrim? |

Skyrim is a game that sold 10 million copies in it's first month of release. The hammer and chisel have also been invented in case you haven't heard of those either. |

Yeah, I need to see a Realms connection, here.
How about making an "Off topic" board where people can chat about general appropriate things? (trans-genderism and incest exluded of course) |

That's been discussed, but I don't know that a decision has been reached on that.
Naetheless, I'm afraid that unless we get something Realms-related in this discussion, I'll have to close it. |

If you want to incoorperate some skyrim stuff into Fearun, I would welcome it. I feel it is a very well done game and good story.
But I must agree with Wooly! |

I would be for a non-Realms-specific board, like 'Campaign Workshop', or some-such. I've wanted one from the beginning.
But that should be apparent.
Anyhow, we have many non FR sub-forums already, that are related to FR through its being D&D, or just an RPG, so one on campaign content wouldn't be too far a stretch.
Besides, in the other thread he has asked where to place it (in FR), so I suppose he would have been better-off combining them.
Plus we discuss plenty of other games here everyday (WH, IK, PF, etc, etc). Heck, not a day nearly goes by without someone comparing 4e to WoW. |

Of course, if this topic were to turn toward discussing how these character types could be used in the Realms, then Wooly and I wouldn't have any problem with further discussion of this topic.

For a Realms topic, I incorporated the Dark Brotherhood wholesale from Skyrim to the Realms.
Basically, a Murder Cult devoted to Bhaal then Cyric.
They were lead by a fully corrupted Jander Sunstar. |

I also did not find any good-looking robes, I wore the rich clothes from Solitude or jester's robes, eventually I switched to a martial character with the scaled horn armor or ebony mail. |

But honnestly, that looks like the kind of project that can last for years.
Now THAT is an awesome looking mod. Too bad i am playing on the console and don't have access to any of the mods. Really wish Bethesda would make Steam available for PS3 and 360 |

The intial point of this thread was totally off-Realms topic, but when playing Skyrim i find tons of useful stories which could easily be incorporated into a Realms campaign. Alas, i haven't found anyone in Northern Virginia who wants to play some good old 2E AD&D. Maybe someday. |

Did Jander remove Sithis and the Brotherhood's ruling hierarchy, or simply work his way up the ranks, like the Dark Brotherhood quest in Oblivion? |

In Oblivion you end up being the Listener for the DB and Sithis was more like what Bhaal would be, i assume. Was Sithis ever stated as being a god, or something else. I was always a little confused on this. If he was considered a god, then was the Night Mother a high priest? |

I don't think we ever learned what Sithis actually was. It was stated in one of the in-game books, however, that he wasn't Daedra nor Aedra.
The Night Mother was the bride of Sithis. |
