For those interested, Godborn, the first novel in The Cycle of Night trilogy (which continues the Cale/Riven/Rivalen/Brennus/Mephistopheles story arc from The Erevis Cale Trilogy and The Twilight War) will release in November 2012 in trade paperback format.

I speak a bit more about it on my website: http://paulskemp.com/blog/godborn-release-date-2/

Sweet, Paul. I can't wait. November is a long ways off. And not even this November.

Sweet!

Sucks that it just had to be in November.

Glad that it will be in paperback and ebook format.

My wonders if we'll see Azriim again? It seems that Riven would've hunted him down, but perhaps not.

I am lad that they did not choose to alienate your fans who do not yet have eReaders and do not like reading on a computer screen. I am sad, however, that we have to wait so long.

Wow. That's too far. And it sounds final. So no hope of having it released earlier.

Though I'm happy that at least it will be in trade paperback, not the usual tiny mass market paperback---'tis the next best thing to hardbound. What size will it be, Paul? Similar to the omnibus?

Dennis,

I assume it will be the same size as the Erevis Cale Trilogy Omnibus.

That's good, Paul. Hopefully, after its sure success, WotC would release the next two books in hardbound.

Hi Paul, first of all: great that we finally have something more specific!
Second: November 2012... oh man... I just hope the Maya's were wrong... that is more than one year!!

Any hints on how many months of release time between Godborn and Godbound?

At long last! It is my most anticipated novel. :) I only hope that the 2nd and 3rd novels will be released shortly, just like Mr Byer's books.

Is the cover art staying the same?

I presume so. Hard for me to imagine it'd be changed. It's the best cover art of any of my novels, and I've had some great cover art already.

Just curious: do you have any say on what art gets selected for your books? I was always curious about that process.

For the Twilight War and Godborn, I was asked to describe one of the scenes I'd like to see on the cover. Before that, I wasn't asked for ideas/feedback.

Thats good. I would imagine it could be pretty frustrating as an author when you disapprove of the art that is selected for your novel. I have read some fantasy books which depicted a great scene on the cover....only to find out that it was nowhere in the book. That's what i get for judging a book by it's cover i guess.
