Some of you may have noticed that my next novel Shadowbane is not appearing as available in mass-market paperback on Amazon, though the Kindle version is still available.
Rest easy. The novel has not been cancelled or postponed or anything dire. It will still be available for your reading pleasure, particularly those who enjoyed my novel Downshadow and would like to see the next chapter in those characters' stories. And anyone who loves some of the dead gods . . . like Helm, for instance.
I will have more to say in the near future. Please stay tuned, and have no fear!
Cheers

What's it about? There's no blurb in Amazon.com. |
Every beginning has an end. |

Well, I'm pretty sure there *is* a blurb on the Kindle Shadowbane, but it's not 100% accurate, so I wouldn't recommend you read that.
Basically, Shadowbane is the sequel to my novel Downshadow (though if you haven't read that one, you can still read this one). And here's the teaser I wrote for it:
Luskan.
Only a lunatic would break *into* the filthiest, deadliest, worst city in the Realms.
But when the woman who gave him back his life is taken into that awful place, the man called Shadowbane will get her out.
Come plague, come demons, come treachery, he'll get her out . . .
Even if he has to kill every stinking wretch in that whole gods-damned city.

A little bit.
It's a sinkhole of the scum of the Realms, ruled by gangs and hiding deep, terrible secrets.
The feel I'm going for in the book is Batman: No Man's Land meets Gangs of New York.

Aside from the fact that it's Erik's name on the cover... this is what also originally sold me on the novel -- "No Man's Land" remains one of my favourite Batman tales. |
