So, i'm posting an epic campaign setting i've been working on for some time now. The pdf can be found here https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0BxaTTnvlPF19MzYzOTUxYWMtMzk0Zi00ZGJiLTljZDktNTNmNWYxYmVhNWVl&hl=fr&authkey=CNCA8O8P
It resolves around a new floating city hovering between Cormyr, Anauroch and the Dales. It include 3.5 stats for a lot of epic characters (like the Srinshee), prestige class, feats, epic spells... The project is still in his early development but I will update it regulary. For those who have some time to waste, I’m always looking for comments, corrections, translations (one can always dream) or ideas.
PS: I'm a poor little frenchie in the land of english, so forgive my mistakes. PPS: Some of the things present in this book come from various sources, including these forum. I will bemore that happy to list as contributor anyone who recognise his own work.

So far it looks good. You used some good images. Unfortunately I stopped learning french a long time ago. Hurry up and finish translating the project!

I really love homebrew Realms and this is the best kind because it doesn't seem to conflict with much canon. It only adds new lore.
You can't feel guilty using that! |

Thank you !
So, I’m trying to work on a version of Ioulaum as Oracle of Ellyn’Taal. I don’t know if my group is going to interact with him directly, but I’ve got a pretty good story around Tabra, his former apprentice. The group befriended her without knowing of her past and is trying to rescue her after she was captured by the shadovars (Telamont is looking for ways to expand his lifetime, so he kidnapped Tabra to learn the spell Ioulaum’s Longevity). She is now held in Tulthantar and the PCs are trying to find a way into the city (which is surrounded by a giant dead magic zone). So they’ve got a few choices: going to Ellyn’Taal and face the madness of the Illithid city to find Ioulaum, or working with Eldred Tanthul, the exiled thirteenth son of Telamont (I like to put my group in this kind of situation where they have to ally with an evil to fight a greatest foe). Either way, the PCs are going to learn of a way in the enclave of Shade: the Adumbral Calyx, a nexus of shadow portals. They will just have to defeat a chosen of Shar (Volumvax) in the process.
Back to Ioulaum. He is listed as Elder Brain Lich Wiz31/Acm5/Netherese Arcanist 5 in lost empire of faerun. Not a very effective way to use 67HD. So I think I’m going to use something like this: Elder Brain Lich Wiz 5/ Loremaster 6/ Cerebromancer 20/Acm 5/ Netherese Arcanist 5. Any thought? Any homebrew prestige class that would help? I look into the lore (2nd and 3rd edition) but I can’t find anything really specific about Ioulaum except the spell Ioulaum’s longevity. Any idea where to look? |

I'm glad you used Grun Hjelm, that was an artifact used by my cloud giant npc, changing him into an ash giant is a cool idea |

That is some amazing epic-ness.
Thank you for sharing and I will peruse it to see if there is anything amiss in there that I notice.
Lots of it looks custom though so not sure how I'll do that :)
Thanks! |
