I finished Elminster Enraged. Good stuff all the way through on that one along with some interesting revelations. Now I'm on to Charon's Claw.

Can you elaborate on your thoughts for this book?

I saw a copy on a co-worker's desk the other day, but she's now on holidays, so I can't ask her about what it's like.

Of course! The author did extensive research into the actual history of the characters and even spent time over in Mongolia....and it shows. He did alter some of the names for the ease of the reader since Mongolian is a rather difficult language to pronounce for English speakers. The characters feel real and vibrant and the author does a great job of making you feel whatever they are going through. The books reads very smoothly and is hard to put down. SPOILER: The first book of this series covers the time of Temujin's (Genghis Khan) life from childhood until he takes the title Ghengis Khan. Filled with hardship, perserverance, history, culture, action, etc.

“Courage cannot be left like bones in a bag. It must be brought out and shown the light again and again, growing stronger each time. If you think it will keep for the times you need it, you are wrong. It is like any other part of your strength. If you ignore it, the bag will be empty when you need it most.” -Conn Iggulden, Genghis: Birth of an Empire

I'm reading Citadel, the second book of the Troy Rising trilogy by John Ringo, and also Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, by Christopher Moore. I'm focusing more on Citadel; I started reading Lamb so I wouldn't finish the first book of the trilogy and then have a few days to wait for Amazon to deliver the other two! I didn't even know Live Free or Die was part of a trilogy when I picked it up; it just looked interesting. And when I started reading and saw that it was part of a trilogy, I had to get the other books ASAP.

I also got the new Iron Kingdoms RPG book the other day, and have started reading it.

I'm a little disappointed/worried that I haven't been able to find an Australian release date for the new IKRPG book. Which is strange, because I've already found a tentative release date for Hordes: Gargantuans, and that doesn't release until next year.

Yeah, I'm reading that one between pauses of Conviction. I can't wait until I start the story featuring Ferrus Manus.

Unfortunately, only four Primarchs are covered in the anthology -- Fulgrim, Ferrus, Lion, and the Twinned Primarch for the Alpha Legion.

The stories are pretty interesting so far. I was glad to read about Primarchs you dont really get to see that often. But if you love old Russ then you have to read PROSPERO BURNS. Great book , it really captures the feel of the Legion.
