I want some good OFFICIAL lore on them, if anyon knows. I've already looked at the wiki, but some of it may not be official. I've also got Races Of Faerun, so I already know that.

| Track down the 2e Cormanthyr box set. That's your best starting point for the long history of Faerun's elves. The gold elves feature prominently in it. |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |

| Evermeet novel and sourcebook is also good, plus Races of Faerun. |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

| Grand History of the Realms will give you a good idea of their attitudes and how far back their history goes (it predates the Elven arrival on Toril). |

This might be a silly reply, but i noticed you did not mention having read the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide. All versions, 2ed, 3ed and i would only assume 4ed, provide some lore on races. Please ignore this if you have read it |
