I've always wanted to use the Sword Heralds in my Realms, but have just never found the right opportunity to drop them in.
If I were to use them, though, I'd first want to explore Khelben's [brief] time with them. Cloak & Dagger [pg. 26] notes that the Blackstaff was part of the group [though, incognito] for a time.
I find that simply too intriguing not to explore in my campaigns! |

I have used Yimluth in the ongoing campaign.
Essentially the Followers of the Black Blood have taken control of all the wolves of the Hullack and nearby Stonelands and Thunderpeaks and were successfully exterminating all other predators. This inbalance awakened Yimluth from his ages long sleep and he woke up all the hidden deepspawn under the Hullack and generated a massive stag army to oppose them.
At this point the PC's enter into the middle of the war siding with the hoof and horn against the wolves.
Obviously it got rather complicated but essentially the PC's manage to break the power of the Malarites at the Wyvernstones destroying them. Hullack himself is reborn and released from the raging spirit he had become. Yimluth helped them alot to achieve this as he used lots of hidden gates that he had made/knew about from his time as a Sword Herald to move the players around the Hullack and then through the Wyvernstones themselves to attack the Malarites with suprise.
At this point Azoun the fifth of that name to rule Cormyr instructs the PC's (local lords) to tell Hullack that his Stag Kingdom is no longer recognised by modern Cormyr. A bit of horsetrading goes on and Yimluth and Hullack take the stag army over the Thunderpeaks to renew and regrow Sessrendale (under divine guidance).
The major legacy of this, is that Yimluth did not put the deepspawn back into stasis and the Hullack is getting overrun with stags. As the vast majority of predators are dead/driven off they are flourishing, however so much easy food in vast numbers are attracting other much larger predators from the Thunderpeaks to take an interest......
Cheers

This sounds like an interesting topic, but I was just wondering: Where I can find information about the Sword Heralds? |

Volo's Guide to Cormyr
I think it might be one of the freebies on the WoTC site - Wooly has the links stickied on one of the forums

It is one of the freebies. And those links are in this thread: Previous Edition Downloads -- Current Links. |

The 2e Cormyr sourcebook has a little info as well.
Other those that and VGtC, you're free to plot your own course with the Herald. |

I'm blanking on Yimluth. Where can I find more information about him (it)? I'm thinking Volo's Guide to Cormyr, but don't have the book in front of me at the moment.
Hmmm. There aren't any sources that immediately ring bells in my mind.
Maybe you could try asking Ed?
