I'm a fan of rock and metal music, so I know some songs written after Tolkien and Dragonlance. But I've never heard anything about Realms.
What kind of song about Realms would you like to hear and what group would you choose?

For me that would be some nice power or sympho metal like Nightwish or Hammerfall or Blind guardian. Or even Bon jovi.
And it definetly must be a song about elves.

Well, there's always Lordi.... Something about the Spider Queen or fey-ri, maybe....

Edit: Darn gremlins are loose again...

Well, I *am* writing music for the Realms [slowly, and I'm talking at a SageTime pace]. Both instrumental pieces, and pieces based on musical lyrics referenced in Realms sources. Most are nowhere near release-quality yet, but I've put some of the words of one of the ditties from Ed's Knights of Myth Drannor trilogy, to music. Or, at least, sheet music. I'm presently looking for three other musicians to help me record actual music for the lyrics based on my composition and Ed's lyrics.

I've also written some music for other in-game songs [and for a few of Danilo's other songs] based on notes I got from both Ed and Elaine. They feature regularly as part of the background music in my campaigns.

Ooh! Nice, Sage. Any chance you'll ever be able to share some of these with us here? T'would be a wonderful thing to add into Alaundo's Library, or perhaps in a separate section for creators of Realms-related media.

That's the plan!

Of course, you all should know by now that the distance between my plans and the successful completion of each of them, is about as wide as the entire expanse of the multiverse.

But I'm hoping I'll have the opportunity to offer some samples, at the very least, once I've all the necessary equipment to re-produce music digitally.

Well, the ultimate expression of my plan, is to set up a kind of derivative Shrine of Milil [BTW, Jelennet, you may find something of interest on that particular shelf.], like we have here at Candlekeep, on my own website, and which will feature works of both my own creation, and those written by the Great Lorelords like Elaine and Ed.

No firm dates on when that'll happen though.

Hmm, I'll keep my fingers crossed, then. Should I pray to the gods of Time and Lore to aid in thine plot- er, plan?

Sending positive thoughts to the Time Lords of Gallifrey should suffice.

Apparently, Narnra let them loose.

Wow! I hope that someday I'll hear your songs about Realms! So bad that big professional bands don't write about them.

Anything that feels like 14th or 15th century music on earth.

Every beginning has an end.
