Every so often (i.e. Fzoul's head-rock) I hit upon something where I assumed an event was canon and it ends up being home-brewed from my previous DM's campaign. He just weaved everything so seemlessly, that it's hard to pick up on it (except where his timeline is out of whack).
In this case, it's something that didn't happen. Apparently, Duke Eltan dies in 1368. What happened? Where do I get info on it?

Didn't you play Baldur's Gate? If you did, you would know the answer. He dies in the books too, that why his death is mentioned in canon. |

| Oh. Zireael - I did not. Can you give me the lowdown? Luckily, for me it's not going to matter for awhile. He's alive in 1350. :) |

I'm pretty sure that Eric Boyd had him resurrected in "Power of Faerūn", but I'm away from my sources at the moment.

They were rescureccted the same year they died, according to Grand History.
I don't feel like flipping through every page of power of faerun just to find a single sentence of when he was.

Also, Power of Faerūn hints at these events. |

Hints a bit, yes. Although it was not really a war, Sarevok only wanted the iron crisis to escalate into a war (that's why he tried to put the blame on Amn). Sarevok was the one who had Duke Eltan assasinated because he wanted to become a Duke himself. |
