I m preparing a campaign with hopes to last for a long time. The story takes place in Cormyr. It is Cormyr because current situation is not very stable(ý negelect the return of archmages book in my story) and I like to see the fabled realms of justice and good corrupted.

Ok I figured out a campaign that will include directly my player at high levels after a long winter and spring.
Here I go.
There is a royal wizard who is the cousin of Azoun IV.He is loyal to Cormyr but after Azoun's death and the chaos that the dragon spead to the realm he is unconfortable with the current situation. And complains about the Regant among some nobels.
I did't think a name for him so I m open for suggestions.
He is a ambitious collector of ancient tomes. And with his connections he buys a mysterious tome and smuggles it to Cormyr.
The tome is a very heavy one and its pages look infinite. His first tests reveals the tome is realy magical. but the text in it was magically conseal with riddles and problems. After a very hard work and consentration he solves the first page.And he feels the power running to his mind but one thing he didn't know is every page translated and solved trigers a great doom or the bane of the translater |

| So he trigers the first curse and a terible winter comes very early and lasts very harsh. The wolf packs and goblin and orc raids begins.Meanwhile our future heroes meet and their campaigns together begin.During this winter crops fail and economy falls. That causes large bandit groups unite and many nobels raise their voices openly. This makes our bad guy think to change the throne. For this he must be more powerful and speeds up his work on the text. And translates one more page that triggers a terible storm in Lake of Dragons. Many ships of navy destroyed and pirates start to work very hard. now both our friends and bad guys are more powerful. The bad wizard starts to unite some of the nobles and nagotiate with Manshoon who is now secretly controlling Westgate and Zhents |

Our friends discovers an old refuge that made 200 years ago by Sword Heralds and in it they find lots of tresure and a tome. the tome is hardly understood by our group but they clearly translated the doom and cormyr. After taking the tome to a wise sage (can be Vangy or El)
they realize that it is a prophecy written long ago. It says the recent bad events clearly and the way which takes Cormyr to irreversible doom.
And a terrible earthquake destroys tilverton when our friends are in there. They fight their way fighting with the creatures coming from underground |

Meanwhile Zhents start to invade dalelands and rebels supported byWestgate takes conrol of some towns and a fort. Our bad guys activities are realized by the purple dragon agents and war wizards. And he flees before they took over his tower with some trachereous war wizards( after breaking their oaths with a powerful spell). During these chaotic times to fight with monsters, bandits and pirates many merc take charters to wield sword and many of them were working for nobles.
When their time comes to show their real face they join to the rebels and take over Arabel and northern reigon.Riot is every where so the power of purple dragons are insufficient. And Zhents are keeping Dales busy and Sembian nobles are refusing to go to war to save Cormyr. Thanks to Manshoon and Night Masks.

At the last chapter our friends kill the bad guy and retrieve the tome.But they were too late. The wizard feared by their advance translates another page that triggers Cormyr's inevitable doom.
After the fall of Arabel road to Suzail opened. The legions under the command of a young paladin Percival was fighting to take immersea back. Arabel's fall was unexpected and everyone was thinking that the real danger was immersea but they were wrong Suzail is taken over by the rabels. Percival surrounds the city but there seems no hope at all.But something strange happens and Zhents retreat from Dalesland and our heroes return with the Dalelands army. Suzail retrieved but either young king Azoun V and Regent Alusair were killed. Cormyr and Obarsky reign is nomore.
Percival is elected as high counsil and story ends |
