I remember reading about a buried/ruined city that was famous for its ruby mines. They traded with Calimshan through a gate I believe. Can anyone remind me of the name and source book for this city?
Thanks

What part of the realms was it in do you remember???
I want to say the fabled city of rubies.... but I'm not sure. |
why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power

Unfortunately the thumbnails in the map room do not match the map that it opens. That site should be on my newer versions of the Erlkazar map, but the only one that comes up is my original, rather crappy version.
That lore may also be in the Lands of Intrigue boxed set somewhere.
EDIT: The city I was thinking of was Tulhaspyr, the ruins of which you can see on This Map, in the hills above The Deepwash.
Not sure if that's the right one - not near sources - but I find it funny that the Candlekeep version of the map doesn't work right, and I found a good copy on some site where I was never asked permission if they could host it.
Thank goodness for Internet pirates. |

Thanks for your help folks. I eventually started rereading all of my lorebooks.....and found what I was looking for. Tzindlyspar, from Lost Empires of Faerun pg 107. |
