Are you ready for more romance in the realms? Looks like someone may be :

Has anyone heard of this author? I'm assuming ( dangerous I know) she ismthe same that authored Heavens Bones A Ravenloft novel, but I haven't read that one, has anyone here read it?

I have, and I liked it. Even though it somewhat dispenses with the now "classic" interpretation of RAVENLOFT, I still picked up the same kind of vibe of "dark, gothic horror set in *a* demiplane of dread" [since the Domain featured in the novel is an entirely new setting] as I do when reading the original RL books. Samantha Henderson manages the lore rather well, and, while respecting the older material, she displays an uncanny ability to craft something entirely new for the world that doesn't, in any specific way, feel disconnected from what's gone before. The only aspect of the book that I wasn't always so keen on, were the references and scenes to real-world events and places -- like England for example. I mean, with RL books, you're used to shifting between fantasy worlds. But it took me some time to adjust to the shifting between a Domain and Earth.

All in all, a worthwhile tale. I'm intrigued enough to see how she'll handle the Realms.

Angels watching over mortal lovers? Boring. Is WotC following the angels/vamps trend in teen lit?
