The Moonsea is a rough place. It is filled with the kind of people who would rather stomp first ask questions later. Kinda like the tundra barbarians but with better armor, weapons, and trade but little of their honor. The one constant of the Moonsea is that everyone hates everyone else. Why is this? With my beloved Zhentil Keep in trouble I started thinking of answers to this question and ways to en-rich my own Moonsea campaigns.
Here's a sample of some of my notes. ORIGINS When the Raumathar empire destroyed itself fighting the empire of Narfell refugees of the Rau fled from their traditional homelands. These refugees were comprised of 5 Great Tribes. The first and most noble of these great tribes were the "Damari." They obviously settled the lands of Damara. The smallest of the great tribes, the "Fulerci" settled the lands of Vaasa. The largest and least organized of the great tribes, the "Pallavi" scattered over the lands of Thesk, the Great dale, Sossal, and Parts of Narfell. The honorable warriors of the "Impilici" great tribe settled the land of modern Impiltur. The last and most war-like of the great tribes settled the area around the Moonsea. They were the "Comati" and their war-like traditions would help them survive the many travails that would threaten to wipe them out.
KNOWN LEADERS of the LOST PEOPLE of RAU King Dragonsbane of Damara (technically the high-king of all the Rau), Gelgar Talonguard of Vaasa, Mistress Iyraclea of Sossal, Randal Morn of Daggerdale (Aeudii sub-tribe of the Comati great tribe), Queen Sambryl of Impiltur, Thultyrl of Procampur, Maalithiir of Hillsfar (Comati great tribe, Ma'alii sub-tribe), Halmuth Bruil of Melvaunt (Comati great tribe, Me' elii sub-tribe), Manshoon of Zhentil Keep (Comati great tribe, comatii sub-tribe).
These are just the beginning of my notes on the Moonsea. If there are any comments or suggestions on this post, please post them. The more ideas that I can get into my campaign notes the better it will be. I'm new around here so this is kind of an experiment, if you guys want to here more I'll give you what I got!
