Anyone have information on Aruilsbaarg?

It is listed as a Member of the Captain's Confederation.

Any info would help.

FR5 The Savage Frontier p. 8 is the only mention I can find of Aurilsbaarg.

Aye...never again a mention of the CITY...the place has several thousand living in it...

Strange how a whole HUGE (by Medieval standards) town has seemingly vanished from Lore...ESPECIALLY when it is a Colony of Luskan.

There is one possibility explaining this. Just speculating here.

Paul Jaquays wrote an adventure called The Enchanted Wood for the Draqon Quest game, which I think TSR at the time held the rights to, and many of the elements from that module got included in FR5. It might be that Aurilsbaarg was one of those elements and one that later Realms writers found to not fit the Realms.

This might be a good question for one of the Authors of the North box.

You could say it was a victim of humanoid attacks, and that most of the survivors returned to Luskan.

That would work Wooly...but the place IS on an island...being the island of Ice Peak.

There are 3k folks in Aurilsbaarg actually...

I dunno...just struck me as odd.
