Heh. Never seen that occurrence before. Strange.

I'll note it on my special "Candlekeep Black Casebook" for further study.

Actually, my concept of a "Candlekeep Black Casebook" is somewhat similar in scope to Batman's "Black Casebook" -- being a journal that records strange and/or weird and unexplained phenomena that can't be easily categorised or countered.

And given the strange occurrences and problems that crop up during ASP errors here at Candlekeep, I believe it's fitting to have such a resource on hand.

I didn't see any sticky either! I found this scroll on the second page.

We can't see it Brim. It's invisible to "normal" eyes. Only Sage's magically-enhanced vision could pierce through the sticky's veil of illusion.

I always thought that "Great Reader" sounded like a demotion from "Master of Realmslore."

I'll admit that the latter title is cooler than the former. But I'm the Master of Mischief, so it's a moot point for me.

I was, until previously, the Loremaster Most High, as per the reference from Oghma's clergy in Faiths & Avatars.

Wooly recently christened me as the "Procrasinator Most High," playing off both my failure to accomplish anything on my famed "To-Do" list and my need to refer to myself as "Sageman... the World's Greatest Procrastinator."

Thus, I abandoned the old title and adopted the new.

Agreed, 10K posts seems like an unreasonably high benchmark. 5K might be better? Only two scribes ever achieved >10K - due in large part to their required contributions as moderators, I think. Only 2d4 others have even reached the halfway mark, after years of posting, a process which takes so long that half of those are no longer active.

As to Great vs. Master, in someways a Master does sound better then Great. What however we all must remember, the goal would be (In theory) to become First Reader (Ed holds that position) based on Candlekeep hierarchy. In context a Reader is much more then a mere Lore Master.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

The combination would be better, though...."The Great Master of Mischief."

In terms of meaning, I suppose it’s appropriate. But I just don’t like the sound of it… There are simply too many undesirable things that rhyme or sound like “lore,” and which in turn can be mistaken for it.

That works, but at the time I assumed that title, "Master of Mischief" was a frequently used nickname others had bestowed upon me.
