Very, very nice! I was actually visiting to post a link for you regarding this project, and I found this scroll... so here's the link. Scroll about halfway down to the "World of the Realms" heading for the image in question... and it does link to a slightly larger version.
I thought this might be useful to you for the topography outside the megacontinent... I don't know how much you've already done of that, or if you've already found this link and made use of it, or even how canon-friendly the physical geography depicted is apart from the central continent... but here it is for what it's worth. |
Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.
If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic. |

Thanks - I've seen that image before but I wasn't sure how "canon" it actually is. There is a chance I could use it for a future version, however. Right now the outlines of all the landmasses are included, but if there isn't any other canonical information available (such as for Osse, Myrmidune, some other islands) I've left the landcover information off and filled the island with a noisy grey texture to represent "unknown lands". The exceptions to this are in Katashaka, Anchorome, and Lopango - for Katashaka I followed advice I've seen promoted here and elsewhere and warped the continental map from the Nyambe campaign onto the Katashaka landmass. Anchorome and Lopango needed more detailed landcover information, since they are attached to Maztica, so I picked up a map from http://hiddenway.tripod.com/images/maps/ for Anchorome and invented Lopango myself.

Definitely pre-spellplague. Not sure what year. They incorporate all sources from the series' inception through version 3.5.

I'd really like to see one for the Lake of Steam/Border Kingdoms region. It would be very useful for a game I am playing actually!

If you get around to the Silver Marches, I'd very much like to see Lothen of the Silver Spires as well as Telardon, City of the Emerald Spires listed on it. Great job! |

Yay! More awesome.
The one suggestion I might make is for the possible use of a smaller font on labels. In some places like central Cormyr the map starts to disappear behind a wall of text, which should go away if the letters and the while halo shrink just a smidge
Other than that, it's solid cool.
EDIT: Oh yeah! and FINALLY someone makes a detailed map of Anauroch! *sniff* I love you man... |

Umm... wow. Awesome job.
If you're doing requests, may we havea map of shou lung/wa please?
The rest of the Maztican continent would be awesome as well!
But, that being said, I'm just happy to see someone doing these maps. You did an excellent job on all of them, and thank you VERY much for sharing!
