| Heck, Drizzt got knocked out of the top two by Rand al'Thor. Dude's got balefire that not only destroys you, but erases your existence from history. |

Consider this: Rand aims Balefire at Drizzt, but Drizzt dodges and blocks it with Icingdeath. The balefire destroys Icingdeath and erases it from history to just before the time that Drizzt finds it. Now, he doesn't have it when fighting Errtu and, isn't able to defeat him and is killed.
Not only has Rand defeated Drizzt, the North is now ruled by Crenshinibon and Mithral Hall is never founded. Kinda puts Rand's power in perspective, don't it?  |

Aye, Balefire isn't strictly "fire" really...so Drizzt's blade is just toast.
