I'm looking for a novel or few that depicts an adventure more in line with the kinds of adventures you play in D&D. For example, I really enjoyed the first part of Spellfire where the adventurers hang out at the inn and then go out in search of a dungeon crawl.
So far I have read the entire Driz'zt series as well as a few other Salvatore books. I would really like to read a book where there are more mages and clerics doing their thing.
So, can any one suggest some books for me to read? Thanks

Ed's Knights of Myth Drannor books are partly based on adventures his player group did play in D&D, in the Realms' formative days. |

Actually, there are a few novels based on old adventures such as Keep on the Borderlands, Temple of Elemental Evil, Tomb of Horros and Against the Giants
As for FR specific the best maybe Erik Scott di Bie's Depths of Madness. I thought Bladesinger had an "adventure" feel to it. As did Lady of Poison, but Depths is the best of that group by a pretty good margin |
When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight. |

The Last Mythal trilogy is very "Adventure-Module" feeling in the way it's laid out and plays out. So is the Erevis Cale Trilogy as well.
Hope that helps. |
