| While I have to agree that I like Shaundakul, as others have posted here, my favorite diety has not been mentioned, Finder. With Shaundakul a very close second. |
Some friends are like slinkies, not much use, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down stairs. |

Finder? Interesting choice. I like Kelemvor, too, though he seems a bit of a stiff(pardon the pun) for a death god, regarding undead.
I like Kelemvor's approach to death and the undead. I'm very much not a fan of the "Whooo! Death is scaaaaarrryy! Whooooooo!" approach, which is how Myrkul always struck me. |

I'm kinda split. I like Kelemvor's attitude re: the dead, but I still love Myrkul's view on undead/undeath.

I’m a big fan of Marthammor Duin, and I liked him best in the time before the days of thunder. As described in Demihuman Deties he encouraged the dwarves to work against the decline of their race. It was something like: a half-dwarf is better than no dwarf – roleplaying spreading this word (and more ) I liked very much. |

Mystra. Why? Because from the very start of my exposure to the Realms she was "The" god that was at the center of the world I was discovering. And for such a high magic setting it only seems natural. Quite frankly I keep reading each new 4Ed book in hopes that they give me some sign that she will be back.....kind of pathetic. |

| Mine would be Cyric (for evil), Kelemvor (also for his take on death), Milil (not for a hate of Finder, I've gotten to know him recently but I have a spot for Milil) and Savras. |

Malar.
I love playing Lycanthropes. (Werewolves. The others are, in my opinion, lame) The character I most often use struggles between Selûne and Malar, but always ends up choosing the later. Not just because he's evil (although I do think that adds a certain amount of fun to the character), but I really like his dogma
I also really like (in order of preference) Azuth, Deneir, and Ohgma. |

Sharess is a goddess quite blunt Who approves of whatever you want. She wears filmy clothes And damn few of those So you can get a good look at her... attributes.
Lady Sune has lovely red hair - And I'd like to propose you a dare... My friends say it's dyed But nobody has tried To confirm it by checking down there.
The drow goddess known as Eilistraee, Has a dark and unfortunate history. Her followers dance With no shirt and no pants - Why they love her is not such a mystery.
Tyr isn't much of a hater - He wants justice now and not later. He's really a charmer All dolled up in that armour And he's shacked up with Helm and Ilmater.
Shaundakul is the god of my feet And what I do when I walk down the street. But it's Beshaba I call When I slip and I fall And my journey ends up on my seat.
Bane is not loving and kind And his worship won't bring peace of mind. His grip's like a vice And you won't feel nice With his black hand stuck up your behind.

| Faiths and Avatars should have been nothing more than a compilation of such poems. |

Shar is the Lady of Night To whom you turn in despair at your plight. I'll give you a warning 'Bout this goddess of mourning - Don't ever turn out the light.
Mystra's the goddess of Magic Whose deaths have been many and tragic. I found myself wishin' There'd been no 4th Edition When Dweomerheart went hemorrhagic.

| I liked Hanali, then I found out she's just an aspect of Sune. I also like Mask, he's funny. Third for me is Oghma. |

That's largely a 4e FR development. It wasn't always so clear cut, as the entries for Sune and Hanali, in both Faiths & Avatars and Demihuman Deities respectively, suggest. |

For exactly this reason, IMG, Velsharoon was tricked into putting on the Crown of Horns (Mask convinced him that it would protect him from Shar/Talos/Mystra and their designs on his portfolio) and now IS Myrkul, while retaining Velsharoon's portfolio of Necromancy/Intelligent Undead and certain aspects of V's persona. |
