Okay, I know false is the fiend involved in creating Alias in Azure Bonds. Can someone point me in the direction of any further details on him/it? What kind of fiend? Does he survive? I read he masqueraded as a halfling. Any more on that?
I don't believe it's ever been confirmed just what exactly Phalse was... But the Villains' Lorebook (available for free from the Wizards downloads page) said this, on page 13:
"Phalse the pseudo-halfling (it's likely that he truly was a hordling from the Gray Waste, a.k.a. Tarterus)."
I'd heartily recommend reading Azure Bonds, at the very least -- that's the only book he's been in. I'd also recommend reading the rest of the Realms novels written by Kate Novak and Jeff Grubb. Jeff Grubb was the original traffic cop of the published Realms, and that writing duo showed a feel for the Realms that very few authors have matched since then. I recommend them and Elaine before any other Realms author.
