How does one pronounce Xxiphu?

I keep thinking of it as 'sissy poo' but that's definitely wrong.

Ken: You from the States?
Jimmy: Yeah. But don't hold it against me.
Ken: I'll try not to... Just try not to say anything too loud or crass.

HELLo!

I'd pronounce id as "seefoh", or something quite similar to that in English. Might also be "chifuh", or some variant thereof, if they're using Chinese pronunciation.

Happy playin'!

Dealing with 3.5 only. Refusing the reality of 4.0, and substituting it for my own.

For what it's worth, I'd pronounce Xiphu as 'kseefoo' and Xxiphu as 'kzeefoo'.

I'd pronounce it something like "zksifoo", with the "s" drawn out, and the stress on the "zks" part, based on the fact that "x" at the beginning of a name normally makes the "z" sound (as in Xvim), and the drawn-out "s" and early stress make it seem more otherworldly (in my opinion, of course).

Zeefoo is how I would pronounce it... if I wasn't ignoring it.

I like "Zyfoo" myself, but that's only because I've got some other long-established aboleth-lore in my Realms, and my pronunciation of Xxiphu works with that material.

Otherwise, "Zeefoo" works for me as well.
