Just thought I'd mention it.
A round of applause for such a devoted loremaster!

Wow! Standing ovation, and much appreciation for your dedication to the Keep. And public thanks for many private kindnesses!
Here's to you, Sage.

In the interest of science, and for the benefit of countless generations to come, the Sage must - this is not an option - clearly mark his number 20,000. All in favor, say "aye", everyone else - please allow yourself to be escorted to the exit... quietly, or else... |

I was thinking of writing something, like a celebratory message about Candlekeep and my experiences here. Good enough?

I'd like to add my own congratulations, Sage. You've done us proud here at Candlekeep. Also, you've truly been able to help me out a great deal with some of my own questions. Well done, my sagacious friend! |

here's to another 20,000. Heck another 200,000 |
When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight. |

Ha! Knowing the Sage as we all do, I'd expect this 20,000 celebratory message he's planning will probably be ready by the time he hits 30,000 posts.

I wonder if a new title is due?
"Demigod of Lore"
Btw congrats on achieving this milestone Sage. I'm certain my thoughts are shared when I say that I have appreciated your input here at the Keep. And I've only been around for a month! |

Well, I'm at 20,000 [after this message], and I still have only a vague idea of what I'd want to say. So maybe it'll be a little after 20,000. Heh.

"Demigod of Lore"
I must be honest. The idea never even occurred to me. But it's not really a big deal in the whole scheme of things here at Candlekeep. So I don't think it matters what my custom title reads.
Just so long as I can always keep chatting about the Realms with the rest of you, I'll be happy.
...
Edit: And for the benefit of Thauramarth, this was my 20,000 post. |

Indeed.
Aside from Alaundo, I think I'm one of the few remaining "First Ones" who still continuously participate here at Candlekeep. Hard to believe that come September, I will have been active in these halls for about 8 years. |

Aye.
There's a few scribes from around that time who are still largely active here. Which is good. The age and maturity of this community has always been one of Candlekeep's main strengths, I think

And so was I.
In fact, Arivia's return reminded me of just how much I missed some of our other once-regular scribes who no longer visit these halls.
It might be time for me to contact them all by ethereal mail once again. Like I did back in '07.
