Alright I'm not really a...sage on lore, but I tried to stick to it, don't know anything about 4E either,(most of my knowledge is bummed out of nwn/nwn2/bg/bg2/planescape/drizzt) ok, so, if you're willing to read through it and tell me what you think I'd appreciate it.(it's also quite vague, i'm bad at details but it was only meant to get the general idea/feel down)

The general idea would be like, it’s before bhaal died in the time of troubles at the introduction, one of the justicar(or at least good aligned gods, I originally thought Tyr, but I know he dies later on and I don’t know if that’d fit well with this since well…stuff that happens.) overhears his plan to have lots of children to reincarnate him, decides that it might be good to have children of their own, if not to fuel their rebirth at least to have a offspring that might be susceptible to fulfill their position and bring justice to the land, so they go on to have six children, then there’d be all this details about his time and the basic things about how he meets them what goes on there etc.

Alright, so without going into a lot of detail to save time I’m just going to say, they create a fake identity as a pilgrim of theirself, just called Bishop and goes to different lands to conceive children and have a wide spread justice, a human, dwarf, elf, Halfling, gnome, and a drow. Go ahead and skip through the details of the first five because, they’re not the focal point of the story.

Eventually he starts to have self doubts, personal conflict etc, then decides that if he were to die it’d be best to have someone to administer justice for him even if it had to be through an immoral means, so he gets to the final land of the underdark. He’s attacked by a drow raiding party that was heading for the surface, they subdue him due to numbers, while he’s being readied for execution one of the guards fall, and are attacked by another drow, a male and a female. He grabs the weapon from the fallen guard and proceeds to join the fight, they manage to escape but the male gets wounded.

They run before more of them come, they lead them to a camp a bit further into the underdark, a few miles away from (I don’t know all of the cities, only menzoberazzan and ssamath(I think I misspelled that one). The males dying, but the pilgrim finds some herbs that staunch the bleeding from the wounds long enough to be stitched and healed properly. The lady proceeds to ask him why he’s there, he lies afraid that it might disrupt his plan and not knowing her true intentions yet, and continues to tell her that he’s on his way to make a pilgrimage to (insert deity here). She knows he’s lying since no one else has been through that way before for such a reason, so he tells her the truth. She doesn’t believe that he’s who he says he is, then she proceeds to tell him about her and her brother.

She tells him that her and her brother were from (insert city here), and that they had been in (insert house name here) and decided that they didn’t want to live like that anymore after having been ordered to kill children in a “mission”, so they had set their house up to be caught under a fake attack to get “caught” and sentenced, which would mean the house would be executed, and they could flee without being sought after. They fled and found that camp they were in now to be a suitable home near a stream with pure water and edible fungus/fish, and close enough to the city that they could still buy goods there and perform freelance work that wasn’t too evil, and working as freelancers had most drow assume that they were nothing more than houseless mercenaries and no threat, and close enough to surface to help anyone who accidentally wanders in.

Time goes on that they spend together, the woman ends up being with the pilgrim before the time of troubles ends and he’s returned to his position of godhood, she bears his child and is left to raise him on her own with her brother, she names him after the pilgrim Bishop, she told him only that his father was a pilgrim of (insert deity here), to prevent his ego from growing and limiting his own insight through arrogance.(cutting his wings off at birth I think he’d have wings being a offspring between a god and mortal race but I’m not entirely sure on this)

He grows up at first hating that he’s being forced to live away from his people, and feels that it’s boring/lonely/etc, and wants to return to the city, not fully aware of how they are. He spends his time growing up training with his uncle, and the rest just survival.
He eventually decides to leave his mom and uncle, and leave for the city to be where he thought he belonged, not knowing how they truly were. He spends a short while there and learns why his mom despised them and didn’t want him to grow up there. (probably a huge canon error here since I don’t know the age difference between the time of troubles and mithril hall party but if it’s that huge I imagine I can come up with something else)He leaves and comes across a small deep gnome/dwarf mining party he goes to them they ready to defend themselves, when he declares himself unarmed and not willing to fight, the foreman comes to speak to him and tells him of another drow long in his past that had saved his life and he returns the favor telling him of his childhood and his distaste for his race, they continue to trade tales of their lives and the gnome offers him and his family refuge at mithril hall.

So, he goes back to his parents and tells them the news, they decide that they would be much happier living there and being able to be a part of a community and help each other, he lives there for a while but decides that he couldn’t leave his people the way they were. They needed his help and that if they wanted it or not they’d be free from the paranoia from being banished from the surface long ago and their fear of losing any power or showing faults or weaknesses that they’d kill children for false power from a wicked goddess that did nothing but deceive them and hold their race down.

He heads back to the city and starts to work as a mercenary again trying to find a chink in the armor of the goddess, until he had made his way up to working exclusively for the head house where he begins to spy on the matrons trying to learn what he could do, he learns of a gate in the sorcere that led to different planes and realms. He decides to sneak through it, despite not knowing how to operate it or where it would lead, whatever evil that may betide him he’d have to face it regardless.

He falls into a dark realm being surrounded and subdued by many spiders and various vile things, until he finds himself suddenly in front of his father (insert deity here), his father tells him that he’s his son and what had happened to the other children, (some of which had lived sinful lives and righteous ones but had all died one way or the other, I’ll work on the details here later) and the sins that he had committed himself during the time of troubles due to his own paranoia and fear. That he was the only one who had come to serve his purpose and that he was more righteous than himself, to be as selfless as he was to almost definitely sacrifice himself to save his people, but that it was foolish to attempt to fight such a powerful goddess on his own.

They go to other deities for help (I was going to assume red knight and tempus, seeing as how well, red knight had a thing going with tyr, I think? And tempus just seems like he’d be ready to join any epic battle) anyway, they get together and plan their attack on lolth, and are ambushed by seveltarm, his first strike with a poisoned godsbane felling bishops father, alerted now they quickly divert their attention to him and he tries to escape, as time stops Ao appears to bishop and brings him to godhood in his fathers stead, and returns him to where he was, as his eyes now burn with a white fire and gods armor etc, he slays seveltarm before he can escape.
He tells the others of his ascension to godhood, and that he needed to finish this with or without his father that they needed to be punished etc, they decide seeing that seveltarm was able to fell (insert deity here) that fast that they may need help, so they recruit (I was thinking of mask because he could believe that the drow would make perfect assassins and would be a perfect resource to him if they weren’t stuck in the grasp of lolth and eilistrae, though I think that’s another canon error since she died to save the un-cursed drow?)

They go to lolth once more (insert epic battle here) lolth loses the drow eventually start to regain their humanity/sanity/civility, and he takes over as primary patron of the drow.
So, uh, very vague(probably bad) rough draft.

There might be a good idea or two in there... I don't know, though. It's not easy to read one continuous block of text. If you could edit your post, with punctuation and paragraph breaks, it would be a lot easier for people to read and respond to it.

Is this for a D&D game, a story you would like to write, or just some random musings?

I've re-read your opening paragraph several times, and I can't figure out what this idea is being applied to.

Edit: Nevermind... the title says it all.

Any of them, I don't really care what it'd end up being in. I'm working in programming, so possibly, I like to write a lot, so possibly, and if it's not worthy of either than it can be something that is just a random musing that is lost in history.

While I wouldn't call this a bad idea, I kind of think the idea of gods having children (especially to thwart another god having children) can become way overdone.

"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams."
