Hi, new guy here!
Well I've been doing some thinking and y'know what might be a good way to interject some real fun and reassurance into the realms post-spellplague? Introduce a character who's basically Jarlaxle and Lupin the 3rd rolled into one... actually I guess that's not far off from Jarlaxle anyway, but Lupin actually has morals... of a sort. Anyway, just introduce a master thief style character with some other thief companions, and together they have a wonderful romp where they end up saving they day, stealing the treasure, and getting the girl. Maybe even stealing a kiss from one of the seven sisters who's still alive... if any of them are. Just a story where it doesn't get TOO serious, and not everyone is glum about the world having been turned upside down. After all, most intelligent races adapt and find opportunity in new challenges!
Actually, if I thought there were any chance WotC would actually publish it, I'd write it. lol, fat chance of that though. Well, feel free to weigh in on this or rip me a new one as you see fit.

| Pitch a short story to Dragon, or if they're not looking at fiction, work up game mechanics for your character and his friends and pitch it as an article along the lines of the "Bloodghost Syndicate" article in the August issue. Of course, Jarlaxle himself is detailed in the FRCG. |

I second that and even if they aren't currently looking for stories, if one catches their fancy, they will want to do something with it.
Also, it would be something Alaundo would most likely post here at the keep if you wanted. |

And just FYI, some of the Seven Sisters are still alive. |
"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams." --Richard Greene (letter to Time) |

| Oh, hey, looks like Wizards has reacted to questions about their online editorial schedule by, well, posting their online editorial schedule. And I see fiction listed! In the free area, even. Wish we had more than a title! Alas, given the timing, if it's world-specific at all it'll probably be in support of the upcoming Eberron launches. |
