Christopher, maybe it's worth listing the various "Countdown to the Realms" articles on the Wizards site as well, since they largely deal with info about the Spellplague and the Realms of 1479 DR.

I'll have a look at them, Sage, thanks.

And Fillow, yes! I am following your novel project. My list slightly different in its aims, being both broader in one sense(in that I'm including games materials) and narrower in terms of fiction (in that so far I'm just including books clearly and unequivocally published as "4E fiction," and not bridging the gap or flashing forward and backwards in time).

Wow, I hadn't read these before. A lot of its information that winds up repeated in the Campaign Guide, but some of it--especially the Wailing Years material--is new to me.

Are there any beyond these three, all in Dragon #362?

I don't think so. Those three articles were pretty much it.

I'm actually a little bit on the fence about this. These three excellent articles cover two different types of ground: (1) material that's more or less a preview of what wound up in the FRCG, and (2) material that predates the Year of the Ageless One, and thus is technically outside the start date of the 4E campaign timeline.

I'm leaning against inclusion at the moment, but want to hear from others.

My personal opinion is that anything that occurred after the Spellplague is 4th Edition. It seems to be the keystone in a lot of the 3.X/4E debates and is the milestone many use for 4E canon material. But, this is only my opinion.

I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.

I'd include them, if only because some scribes viewing this scroll may not have access to the FRCG. As such, their reading of those articles may help them to make an more informed decision about whether 4e FR is for them, and whether they wish to purchase the FRCG.

Thanks Ashe and Sage. I went ahead and added them. Y'all's reasons that I should don't actually match up with my motivation for collecting the material or my vision of what it should be, but if I was doing this to meet my needs I'd just keep this as a document in my private notes.

And I must admit, one of the main reasons I was hesitant to include the entries is the inconsistent way the digital Dragon issues were presented pre Fourth Edition. Couple that with the fact that some writers' bylines appear inconsistently (with and without initials, "Rich" in one place and Richard in another) and well, the parallel structure of my homebrewed bibliographical format gets blown to the Abyss!

I neither do think that the "Dragon born" article from Dragon 365 could be a realms-related one.

Christopher, about an 4E index... I totally agree with what you wrote about it in the community project thread. While there is a quite limited amount of material, we should initiate now a new index.

AFA I'm concerned, I own the FRCG, the FRPG, I've read and annotated Swordmage and I've just received Blackstaff Tower and Mistshore.

What about begin a new project ? not by yourself alone but with the community.
According to me, an Excel file could be really usable. I know Kuje disagrees with this type of file and he prefers Word files.
The files I sent Kuje were done from an Excel file :
1st column : topic (geography, character, race, organization,...)
2nd column : the entry itself
3rd column : the source book
4th column and following ones : the page(s) where the entry was (were) found.

What about dispatching pages of the both first sourcebooks within the scribes who want to participate ?
I will begin to collect the annotations from Swordmage this week.
Your opinion Christopher ?

I just want to say I think this is a good idea.

"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams."

Thanks! All other factors and considerations aside, having a relatively limited (thus far) amount of material to "master" is something that really brought me back to the Realms and to gaming.

Of course, between them, Dragon and Dungeon have printed half a Player's Guide worth of material in the last three months. If they keep up this pace, I'm sure to fall behind soon!

Note II: Thanks to the tireless efforts of Scribe Fillow, this bibliography is now presented in two forms. The "raw" version immediately below is a simple, alphabetized list. Below that, Fillow has subdivided the entries by type and chronologically reordered them so that, within each category, they appear in order of date of publication. Further, the second list also contains entries for material that has appeared on official schedules, but has not yet been published.

It's a list of all 4E FR works, for reference.

I know that beloved Rinonalyrna ! Do I seem to be so stupid ?
I already posted in the first page !

I meant I did not understand the aim of the post which is on the top of this second page.
at the end of the first page, I made the classification of the 4E products. In this post, I proposed to Christopher to place my listing instead of his own in the original post on the top of the first page. (I hope I'm understandable !).
With other words, I proposed to edit the original post (top of the page 1) in order to delete Christopher's list and to paste the products classification I made.

So, my last question to Christopher was "Why did you place the both lists (Christopher's and mine) on the top of the second page."

OK, oops.
