These PDFs "The Fox and the Dispossessed, Part 1 and Part 2" and "The Greater Treasure" by Erik Scott de Bie & Thomas M. Costa from this link:
http://www.candlekeep.com/library/lore.htm
Was this info that was supposed to be published on the WoTC Realms website for these novels? Is this official or semi-official info? Was this written and WotC gave permission to post, in other words?
Simple curiosity is all.

As I recall, Tom just said that several months before the info was posted, both him and Erik had talked about statting several of Erik's characters. The material posted here at Candlekeep back in February was the result. I'd assume it's as close-to-canon as such info can come, until such time when it may be contradicted by future material from WotC.

I see, I was mainly curious because usually posted material uses only SRD or OGL material but seeing material posted from sources outside the SRD and OGL material had me intrigued. (Wolfgang Baur's Kobold Quarterly mentions next issue giving substitution levels for the Warlock class, to name another)
Good stuff, I say. I wish more of this material can be done to keep 3rd Edition's gaming material expanding (what I would give to see more material for Incarnum and Ninjas! lol) |

I'll note that I was only speculating above... based on what both Tom and Erik have said previously about the information they've posted here. They may have something more to add to this discussion. |

Sage is correct.
Erik and I started chatting about the characters. I can't recall for sure, but I think I emailed him because I was goofing on Twilight stats and then found that he had some basics for her already. Collaboration and expansion of ideas ensured and voila.
All of which is to say, none of it is official (just fan-boy stuff, if you will), but given that Erik is the author, we're both competent at game design, and they are 3.5E stuff which WotC is unlikely to revisit, I'd say it's about as official as you're probably ever gonna get. |

Tom says it all--Sage has the right of it!
It has none of the teeth of official canonical stuff, and WotC can contradict it anytime. It's just as official as, say, the Candlekeep Compendium--a project I greatly admire. One might consider this our contribution.
I guess we'll see how it falls out with the 4e version of Twilight and stuff.

Though I'm not at all familiar with the 4e rules as yet, I'd be curious to see what such a work-up of Twilight would be like. |

I think first we'd have to see her in a 4e context . . . hmm . . .
