It must be an interesting feeling to see a book you've written published in a language other than what it was written in... If I was an author, I'd happily buy copies of my books in every language available.
I googled each of the Lords I created in my Lords of Waterdeep articles once, and was quite surprised and more than a little pleased to find one mentioned on some Chinese website. |

One of the first translations I ever saw for my books was a Hebrew copy of Knight of the Black Rose. It was odd looking at a novel I had written, but finding myself unable to read a single word--even my name.
I try to get a copy of each translation I know about. I have more than thirty. (It'd be a lot more if I tried to track down translations of things like the second edition Monstrous Compendium, for which I wrote a bunch of entries.) Knowing your work has a good chance to be seen around the world is one of the really nice things about working in a shared world with international reach.

Even though I read most of the FR novels in English, I've seen thre Spanish edition you talk about in newstands. They are not difficult to come by. If you need help tracking down any of them, just let me know. |

Very cool indeed, Jim. Altaya is famous to launch stuff of good quality (paper, cover, etc.).
Here in Brazil, I talked with the people that "take care" of the Realms, and they will send a brazilian copy of the "A Grand History of the Realms" to Brian James, when the book hit the shelves (some date between the last quarter of the year). ^^ |
