Olore.
After a rather long absence from the Realms I decided to start a new campaign with a few selected players, set between the Chondalwood and the Vilhon Reach. One of the players wants to play a dwarf, so I started browsing my books for some information on this maerthwatch mountain range. To my horror, there is NO information on these mountains, absolutely nothing in any of the books I have read, and nothing even on the Internet (quick google search). Did I miss something or this area is completely blank? Do you think it is safe to assume some isolated dwarf clan could reside here? Where do you think this clan could come from? The great rift or some obscure underdark realm?
Thanks in advance!

it's your campaign, you can have anything there that you want. The information presented in the books are just a guide and to help fill out the world, but they are not concrete. If you want something there, then put something there. If the books say there is something there and you don't want that something there, then that something isn't there... It's your world... |

You might also look for the Hills of Maerth as they were known in the Old Empires:
The Hills of Maerth: Between Akanamere and the Adder River are the Hills of Maerth. These low but rugged hills are known for their rare minerals; a large number of ancient mines dot the surface of the hills. Recently large tracts of the hills of Maerth were purchased by the wellknown plane-wandering archmage Azurax Silverhawk (23rd-level mage), who is seeking a philosopher#146;s stone. |

Oh my, Azurax Silverhawk!! Threshold of Evil was one pof my all time favorite Dungeon adventures, it is really cool to read it is officially part of the FR, I completely overlooked that entry. I should have known that however, since both dungeon adventure and fr module are by Scott Bennie (incredibly talented writer in my opinion, writes great works even today). Thanks for the infos.
