Pretty funny... But they misspelled L33tness!

I love the alignment options, and the fact that there are three "half" options for race!

Finally some good news from Wotc. The best in a long time.

What was the name of that squirrel race for 2ed.in Dragon again? Kerpa or something like that?

You mean the Kercpa [from DRAGON #214]?

I've always liked the kercpa, myself. There's just something oddly appealing about them.

Nope, I really do like the kercpa. I didn't like the more recent evil squirrel race, though.

But Wooly, could the Kercpa spelljam? That is the true question. Actually, was this just an April Fool's Day thing?

I don't think so. I kinda like the kercpa. I'd probably never use them in a campaign, but I have had some fun tinkering with ways that I could introduce them into my FR adventures should I wish it.

Nope. And I see no reason to be sarcastic about the Kercpa (thanks Sage; I am lousy with names). I have always planned to include them in the Realms since I first read about them, but have never really gotten the chance.

There was also a write-up in the Monstrous Compendium Annual 4 (again, if my memory is not playing tricks on me), if anyone is interested.

What really annoys me about yesterdays Wizards page is that they were not serious about going back to the original art though. And I am not being sarcastic.

Well they took the page down after only a few hours - seems like a waste considering the shear amount of work that went into it.

It, and the above posts, did give me an idea for a truly bizarre adventure - The Kercpa and those evil ones KEJr depicts in his post could have a 'War in the Forest', sort of like Watership Down meets FR.

Would be good for a single-session light-hearted romp.

Anyway, has anyone seen the new Mindflayer Video they have up? They brought back that 'Monster Gnome'.

Fart jokes? FART JOKES?! It is pretty clear at this time what exactly WotC's target audience is. Maybe they think Nine-year olds won't be as critical of their lack of creativity.

There's a reason we keep Wooly chained in the dark chambers beneath Candlekeep during the evening hours. It's because we never want to learn what can come from such a statement.

Yes I know. But still, it was the most promising thing I have seen over there in a long time.

But again, Kercpa are not a joke.

Yes, we did. But as is ever the case here at Candlekeep, we like to have a little fun when discussing such topics.

Jocularity aside, however, the kercpa are still an intriguing concept.

I´m joking, too (errr... but some evil squirrels are soooo tempting to me as DM)

I don´t know the kercpa, but I know the evil little ones of the MM IV.

[off topic]

Talking about little evil rodents, my new character is a wizard / druid of Solonor. To wizard familiar, I have a little mischiefous mouse that I named "Gruumsh"!

Yes, the darned rodent have the evil habit of bite every elf that is meets. ^^
Including myself - all the time.

Anyone have a screenshot of what the WoTC website looked like on April 1st?

Dark Curtains - Takes place in the Savage North, starting in Nesmé. I wrapped my campaign into the Hoard of the Dragon Queen, but it takes place in 1372 DR.
