Personally I am not going to be buying it.

When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight. |

Sadly not. However, as good as Lisa's writing is, I will avoid that trilogy and just kinda ignore that fact since I do not intend to adopt very much (if any) of the 4e Realms. |

Well, the way I see it, there were always differences between the core elves. Gray Elves (the FRCS Sun Elves) were highly adept at spellcasting, aloof and distant, while the High Elves (FRCS Moon Elves) always were more earthy, friendly and bow-and-arrowy. The division was already there in the 2nd Ed and 3rd ed, so that is nothing new (not even the name is new). Plus, in the 4e Players Handbook it is written: "Eladrin are cousins to the elves and occasionally called high Elves or gray Elves".
IMO, the "Eladrin" encompass all of the Gray Elves plus an aspect of the High, and the "Elf" encompasses the Wood Elves, plus the remaining aspect of the High. I have no idea where the Wild Elves are hanging nowadays though.
ps: as a side note, they're the perfect description for DLs Silvanesti Elf (Eladrin) and Qualinesti elf (Elf). Perhaps that's another race they modeled after Krynn's finest? =)
EDIT: just corrected some typos. |

she is excellent author. Unfortunately, the series does have preordained conclusions which only hurt it and it seems kind of forced at the end any way |
