What is the signifigance of the upside down moon cresten and the three stars on either side of it.And the added stuff too the letters that spell out FR? Just wondering.
Well I went and look up selune and found that she is the goddess that looks over all faerun.And that would make the logo make since the moon and stars symbol is above FR( you know the long version) which is faerun and she looks over it. so thats makes since.thanx
Honestly, I think that's all coincidental. I like Selūne -- she's one of my fave Realms deities. But I've not seen anything to indicate her prominence is such that it belongs on the logo.
I theorize that either:
a) The artist who created the logo added the cresent and stars simply to spice up the logo, or
b) it has some special significance for Ed, and it was his idea.
I tend to think it was the latter -- look how many times the moon pops up in areas created by Ed. This might be a question for him.
