May I please receive the CliffsNotes as to why that person (apparently) was disagreeable? |
Stand with anybody that stands right. Stand with him while he is right and part with him when he goes wrong.
Earth names in the Realms are more common than you may think. |

King ArchCEV was banned for repeatedly posting homophobic contents after being warned not to do so. The posts have been taken down and are most likely not to be reposted, EDIT: Copper Elven Vampire came back as Archfey of Debauchery and King Libertine as an attempt to circumvent the ban.
So if you see a brand-new scribe who - for example - specifically asks about Curudin Ahmaquissar, you are likely dealing with the same poster. |

Apart from any potentially annoying innuendo, did he produce interesting content and/or spark constructive conversations? |

CEV is one of, like, two or three posters to have been banned from Candlekeep. That should tell you all you need to know about CEV. Also,

It wasn't "potentially" anything...it was homophobia...period, end of story. |

Here is one of his polls. http://candlekeep.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23357
Interesting, yes, but not for the right reasons. Constructive, no. At least let this thread be a case study about how not to respond to feedback to a poll that the community by and large considered ill-considered.
Have we veered too far off topic? |

There is much that can be said on King ArchCEV... And all of it strays from pretty much any Realmslore.
So yes, enough said about him. |

Once upon a time, there was a forum user. Nothing special, except using Redditor Line Spacing all the time and spamming the board with Mary Sue drivel write-ups at the slightest opportunity. Between the latter being obviously "inspired" by certain champion of Erevan Ilesere whose fan CEV clearly was and stretched to the level competitive with d20 industry standards of padding text, this could come across as a crude parody. At first. Nope, this went deep into "if it was weird humor, surely he would get bored long ago" territory. But as the previous posters remind us, the only Real Problem (TM) was some blasphemy against the Progressive Sacrament. Followed by a (very brief) post-scriptum of ban evasion... laughably obvious as he could not let go of the old obsession and posed as his own fan. Anyway, cpthero2 has a similar watery style and uses Redditor Line Spacing, which probably was what Lord Karsus joked about. I even thought "oh, CEV sockpuppet" at first, but lack of obsessive behaviour related to rogue classes and Erevan Ilesere shows it's not the case. |
