Hi all!

A friend of mine wanted to adventure in Chessenta. I got copies of FR10: Old Empires (2e) and Lost Empires of Faerun (3.5e). Is there anything I missed for this land?

I thought it might be the Ancient Greece or Roman analog in Faerun (Chondath is closer to Ancient Rome than anything). However, looking at Old Empires, there are some similarities and some differences from that of Ancient Greece. (I also got the Age of Heroes Historical Reference for 2e and GURPS Greece.)

Is there anything you like to suggest that I'd get?

Scott Bennie (author of FR10) later did some additional updates/expansion on his Old Empires work. Its 3E and is just fan-work, not canon, but it may interest you.

It can still be found here:
https://kingstears.tripod.com/downloads/OldEmpiresMay2003withbackground.pdf

Less 'Chessenta' and more 'Old Empires' here (scroll down to 'Newer Articles'):
https://kingstears.tripod.com/Scott%20Bennie/scott_bennie.htm

Similarly, Powers and Pantheons (2E) has the relevant pantheons and some additional information, but it may be outdated depending on what era you're going to play in.

Thanks, AJA. I'll check them out.

I did a timeline update for chessenta trying to rationalise all the mentions and clues from 1100 to 1360 DR.

It's not canon and I'm not entirely happy with everything but it does try to account for all the quotes about chessentas alliances and wars as well as various events in novels etc.
