Yes, ghazneths are individuals each with unique characteristics. |

Maybe include shadowstaves, wizshades, wingless wonders, ghaunadans and ghazneths?
Nice ones. I had ghaunadans in there, but not shadowstaves and I must’ve accidentally deleted the wingless wonders (thought I had them!). Wizshades I believe were originally introduced as a Spelljammer creature which is still certainly do, but at the end of the list for FR. If this book is popular, I might actually do en entire SJ bestiary next. From what I remember about ghazneths, aren’t they individuals? Like each one with unique abilities and appearances?
Wizshades are a Spelljammer thing, but Ed seems to really like them -- they frequently pop up in his 2E material.
I wouldn't even try to touch ghazneths, myself... As presented, they seem to have been created purely as a plot device, and there are issues with the lore surrounding them... Like the fact that they all supposedly betrayed Cormyr, but one's "betrayal" was leaving her husband before there was a Cormyr, and the "betrayal" of another was trying to save a member of the Royal Family instead of following orders. |

Interesting. Didn't even think of them as not being as awful as I remember them.
Here's the Song Dragon by the way. It's my daughter's favorite and she said "you really should let them see that one...
She's also doing some of the art now.

I have access to pretty much every Dragon Magazine, but not all Dungeon or Polyhedron. Does anyone know if any monsters were introduced in either magazine that haven't been seen elsewhere. This is not including the Malatran creatures that were in a bunch of issues, those are for another day and project. |

For the Song Dragon, i have it on good authority that they should just be considered were dragons.
My personal theory is that the Song Dragons Ed spoke of in particular are one family of were dragons, and their names should have "Song" in it somewhere or something that sounds like "Song" phonetically.
I think at best that warrants a name change, not a change in statistics. Dragons are so different from wolves and bears and boars that it’s difficult to make a comparison or the werecreature statistical standards set by other lycanthropes. At some point terminology becomes moot. |
