I'm curious. I see people discussing how they've created this map or that timeline and posted it... somewhere. I also know that a lot of the creators of the Realms hang out and post here. Are there projects that people here work on as a group? Do the sages at WotC reference them for official publications? If so, is there a way to get in on that action? I enjoy being part of this community and... well... I would like to be a part of it more.

Occasionally, someone posts a request for assistance, but there's no secret groups or formalized process. Some of us have worked together for quite some time and keep helping each other out, so it's the same folks. I'd say, keep an eye, participate in the boards to be helpful and volunteer when you see someone ask. I've certainly seen several folks looking for someone to proofread their stuff or just looking for someone to bounce ideas off of, FWIW.
