There's this: https://www.candlekeep.com/bookshelf/misc/iwd_cards.htm page on the website that lists some trading cards that were apparently bundled with an issue of the Dragon magazine sometime around the release of Icewind Dale.
The cards as listed on the website are these I think (the only picture I could find):

I checked the archive for both Dragon and Dungeon mags around that time (the entirety of the year 2000 basically) and couldn't find anything about IWD cards, though I did find some ads for IWD. I suppose there's no point in having the magazine mention some extras bundled in for advertising purposes.
I recently received a set of IWD cards from someone:

They don't feature characters like those above, but other than that they seem to be quite similar. I was wondering if anyone here could help me figure out where they came from originally? The person I got them from doesn't know either.
The Dragon magazine lead is the best I've got so far, so I wonder if my cards were also bundled with it, or Dungeon or some other magazine, or maybe something else entirely.
