Posted - 03 Oct 2007 : 02:26:33 Okay, I originally posted this elsewhere, then thought I had what I needed and asked that it be removed, however, I need more details.
I have not been in FR for a while and have few sourcebooks. I am looking for information on the Sunset Vale area - Reaching Wood, Hill's Edge, Asbravn, Corm Orp, Darkhold, etc. I really want details; descriptions of the area (detailed maps?), climate, groups and organizations, current Zhent or Thay activities (conflict).
Any recommendations for where to begin? What sourcebooks do I need to get? Is there more online?
Any help is much appreciated . |

Posted - 03 Oct 2007 : 04:20:48 The Sunset Vale area received some significant attention in Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast -- including most of the areas you've asked about.
Additionally, for the Reaching Wood and Corm Op:- See the "More of the Western Heartlands" from Rand's Travelogue at WotC.
For Hill's Edge:- Code of the Harpers, the 2e FRCS, and DUNGEON #67.
For Asbravn:- 1e/2e FRCS.
For Corm Orp:- Sheela Peryroyl's entry in Demihuman Deities, 1e/2e FRCS, and Ed's compiled '07 replies for references from both Ed and George Krashos.
For Darkhold:- All editions of the FRCS, Forgotten Realms Adventures, Ruins of Zhentil Keep, Ed's replies at Candlekeep, Elaine Cunningham had some nice info in her book Elfshadow, and Ed's novels that feature the Zhentarim reveal some tidbits about Darkhold.
