Question.

I have a player in my group interested in setting up a keep in the Sword Mountains.

I'm wondering who's sphere of influence that area falls under. Neverwinter? Waterdeep? Some other lord?

Or does no one rule over that area?

Any help is appreciated.

Faraer,

Thanks for the help. I wasn't quite sure if any part of it fell under anyone's control or not. This helps alot.

Again, thanks. ^_^

In modern Faerūn the Sword Mountains, like most of the Sword Coast North, are wilderness not claimed, let alone controlled, by human or demihuman realms. See "Environs of Waterdeep". The human power there is self-styled bandit lords, while a few major dragons claim parts of the range in their territory.
