No! No, its all mine! My treasure! ...

Try the Fagan Finder ...

(BTW, unless otherwise noted and apart from the stuff taken from Wizard sourcebooks, the stories, PrC et al are copyrighted.)
My stuff at the DnD-Gate:

Well, it is a German site that I write for and most articles are in German. Most of the PrC are English though. I have "Drow Tactics 3,5" on the shelf, as well as a Run-down of all Core Classes and PrC. All will be done in English. If real life would be more kind ...

If you read through some of the pages here at the keep about the series you will get a broad group of opinions alreayd written in detail.

I thought the books were generally quite good (and I rarely enjoy FR or most other fantasy novels) thanks to some interesting characters.

However, I didn't enjoy the overall plot idea very much and have to admit that I won't be including the events in my own FR campaigns.

That's a really subjective question. Some of us love them, some of us don't. The general opinion seems to be that the books are good, but YMMV (your mileage may vary).

honestly Shadowni87, I couldn't tell you...I'v read all RAS's Drizzt novels and I do have vague memories of Drizzt regretting what happened to that goblin outside of the actual short story but not in what book...I wish I could be more of a help

As I said last night, 99% of the novels/anthologies are canon except for the ones I mentioned before.

Okay, let's try and keep to the topic of this scroll -- namely DROW.
shadowni87 Posted - 12 Oct 2006 : 06:55:16
i grew up nothing but 2e. unfortunatly i personally dont like most of the changes...they are in a sence quite liberal. and you opinion is justly noted and is not totaly irrelevent. as fortune had it i picked up the game and i fell sooo in love with it. i picked up on FR with the drizzt books and moved my interest over to here. i hope that explains why it is that i believe in it so strongly
Beirnadri Magranth Posted - 12 Oct 2006 : 06:31:40
I dont understand your preference for 2e. to me it seems inferior to 3e. Also i take it you are 18/19 yo which means you are too young to have gotten used to 2ed that strongly. either way my opinion is irrelevant im just saying.
shadowni87 Posted - 12 Oct 2006 : 06:13:08
sorry i wasnt thinking... a little to exited i think i was

Of course there are things not converted yet, that in time likely will be. In fact the 3.X Editions basically just transfered over some 2nd material and was not converted/changed (with the exception that the material is valid under both prior and current Edition).

There is no way a list can be provided for what is the same, what has changed and what so far has not been addressed at all.

Beirnadri Magranth Posted - 12 Oct 2006 : 02:29:34
The entire core system of 3.0+E is altered therefore minute details like the statistical aspects of Faerzress radiation are changed, well within reason. In many instances (of which I think this is the case here) the playability and scope of 3.0+ editions allowed for material to be 'statted' where it had gone as house rule or undefined in previous editions.

For the adamantine items in sunlight shpeal see pg 70 of the Underdark acessory. It is considered 'drowcraft' armor special ability. Page 48-49 gives a detailed explanation of Faerzress.

now that could be a loaded question...

"if you mean change everything" as in change everything that was is 1st and 2nd edition AD&D into 3rd edition D&D...then no, it hasn't happened yet...they converted the most important things first and are slowly converting the rest

In 1E and 2E rules, yes.

In 3E rules, they added Drowcraft as a magical property.

Yes, it made them from +1 to +5, and they disintegrated when exposed to Sunlight. Also it seemed to only work on Adamantine weapons/armor.

That is how Drow had cheated back in 1E and 2E to get "free" magic items. Just Faerezz (sp) heavy areas, but there was nothing ever about mutations, other than the 1 two-headed deep dragon.
