Posted - 27 Sep 2006 : 20:42:04 I have tried to find all the information regarding Shar and her minions and the battle against Selune, but there are still some information I am lacking in order to get my adventure "realmslore authentic".
- Where can I find more information about Selune's Smile, a tavern in Waterdeep. - Are there any more sources of information regarding Shar except the books mentioned? - Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting - Faith and Pantheons - Lords of Darkness - Faiths and Avatars - Magic of Faerun (shadow weave) - Are there any secrets in the Selune temple, or artifacts that they have confiscated?
Thanks, Marduk |

Which is a very good book. |

Posted - 28 Sep 2006 : 07:45:18 Just had a more thorough look at the Calimport accessory ( its never been much of a favorite so I had to check if I was giving misleading information); there is not that much information about the Temple of Night, but what there is is collected on page 68. It is useful if you are planning on using the area of the south-lands though, as it is the leading temple of the goddess in the area. |

The book City of Splendors: Waterdeep details Kyri in 3E; it names her as a Lord of Waterdeep and Moonstar Agent. She also appears in Steven Schend's novel Blackstaff.
And Steven has chatted about Kyri as well, here at Candlekeep.

I believe the Calimport accessory (I think its a free download from Wizards page) has some information on the Shar temple of that city.
Hmmm... I can't believe Wooly missed this.
Anyways, Calimport is indeed available as a free download at WotC:- http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/downloads

Posted - 27 Sep 2006 : 21:32:13 I can't remember any direct "Shar vs Selune" novels... |

Posted - 27 Sep 2006 : 21:28:49 None that I've read; but I'm nowhere near caught up on Realms novels. |

Are there any novels I should read to gain more insight into the battle between Shar and Selune ?

Posted - 27 Sep 2006 : 21:20:38 I don't believe Selūne's Smile has ever been detailed any further than being put on the map... The "Phases of the Moon" story arc for the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons comic (somewhere around issue 20; it was a four-issue arc) details the battle between Selūne and Shar that happened during the ToT.
The House of the Moon is described in Powers & Pantheons.
The book City of Splendors: Waterdeep details Kyri in 3E; it names her as a Lord of Waterdeep and Moonstar Agent. She also appears in Steven Schend's novel Blackstaff. |

... including the web enhancement for that book. Also, there is some material about Shar in Champions of Ruin. |

Posted - 27 Sep 2006 : 20:54:58 The 2E Faiths and Avatars book may have more info than the 3E Faith and Pantheons book on Shar and Selune
For Shar/Selune info in Waterdeep listed look in the 2E Powers and Pantheons book...it has a big write-up on the Temple of Selune
there was also a trilogy of adventures in the Dungeon magazine (#126 - 128) I think that involved the Shar worshppers (I remember it was about vampires)
the old Netheril 2E box set has info about Selune and Shar over 3000 years before the present
And the 3E City of Splenders: Waterdeep book you need...
Selune's Smile is in the old DC comic book (the AD&D comic, not the Forgotten Realms one)...and any info for tavern info where Kyrani (sp?) Agrivar is described |

Posted - 27 Sep 2006 : 20:50:01 Well, of the top of my head, the Priests and Wizards of the Realms book for the 2ed. has a few priest kits for both goddesses. I believe the Calimport accessory (I think its a free download from Wizards page) has some information on the Shar temple of that city. |
