Does anyone here have any information detailing Antarn the Sage's life or perhaps stats(if he is still alive)? The only information I can seem to find on him are quotes from "The High History of Faerunian Archmages Mighty".

Antarn the Sage is referenced (in name only) on both the "Book List for Tomes at Candlekeep" here at Candlekeep, and Steven's "The Candlekeep Collection."

A wonderful bit of flavor, I think. Here's the link: the Candlekeep Collection

Um, yeah....Wooly? Best get out your pencil to update that list....there's a few other books mentioned in Blackstaff that'll need to go on the list, eh?

Indeed.

I often use many of these titles from time to time in my campaigns, filling out the shelves as such whenever the PCs are entering an important centre for learning.

As have I ever since that article appeared on WOTC's site all those years ago. My printed copy is getting pretty ragged cause it's been used so much.

If I ever get a chance to DM, I'll do the same thing.

Ah. In that case, you'll need to pose the question to Ed. While some of the people those quotes come from have appeared in Realmslore, the vast majority of them have not. To the best of my knowledge, the quote you're referring to is the only such reference to this guy.

At the beginning of each chapter in the early Elminster Series novels.

I seem to recall a reference to a wizard with a similar name in the Shadowdale adventure, but I may be wrong here...

There's no other information on Antarn. Try asking Ed Greenwood.

Well... I thought it might have been in Dragon #272 - Quotations of the Realms, but nope, 'twasn't so.
