I was just finishing up the last details of my evil siluvanedenn sun elf wizard.
the things is what god would he worship
At first i though he would still revere the elven gods (correlon etc.) but im not sure. would he worship fiend lords? what gods does sarya and the dlardrgeths worship? did the siluvanedenn still worship the elven gods?

same with teh eldreth veluuthra. they believe they are acting good so would they worship the nromal gods?
i was thinking they would but in a fantasy world where there are spells and magic, and the will of gods is easier to be aware of i would think it would be clear if the gods didnt approve or sanction these evil groups who believe they are good (well maybe the dlardrageths dont but hey)

Actually, I was meaning that the Eldreth Veluuthra are just asking for a heresy to themselves, the statistics for which(heresies, I mean) can be found in Power of Faerun.

Yeah, they're in LoD 3e... as part of the MINOR ORGANISATIONS section.

in response to sleyvas, yeah actually one of the other players in my group is doing something with that. His character comes from the land of Faerie... but he switched over to mystra i think.

also where would this info on eldreth veluuthra be in Power oF?

oh and to Ode... i was originally doing this, having my char worship normal seldarine

The Eldreth Veluuthra are described in the 3E Lords of Darkness (I believe), Champions of Ruin, and the 2E Cloak & Dagger.

I think that's a fine idea, Arivia. An aspect of Corellon that emphasizes "elvish-ness", racial pride and protecting elven acts and works. Very do-able I think.

There can be evil Seldarines, yes, but there are these two options also:
The deities aren't elven gods
Is there a chance that evil elf worships good Seldarines?

another option would be elves who worship fey deities who aren't specifically Seldarine (elven) deities. The Queen of Air and Darkness from the Unseelie Court for instance.

wow weird idea asgetrion. i knew that god was old but i hadnt thought about using him like that.
i was reading the faitsh and pantheons thing and i think my character would identify with fen-- mestarine (sp?)the lone wolf god. I built up an interesting tension between my character and that sun elf baelnorn of the eldreth veluuthra and maybe i can add the bit about moander to the list.
Asgetrion Posted - 01 Apr 2006 : 12:31:16
I have used several elven NPCs who venetrated or served Moander (some of them unknowingly). The Great Dread God likes few things more than corrupting the Fair Folk to his/its cause. I have even used Moander as a new "mysterious elven deity" behind Eldreth Veluuthra's divine magic. I was also absolutely thrilled at the possible "new coming" of the Creeping God in canon Realmslore

Ghaunadaur is also another possible candidate.
Beirnadri Magranth Posted - 31 Mar 2006 : 18:00:03
i feel like in my characters case he respects elven ideals but has "been betrayed" by evereskan elves and he has spent a copuple years in the service (possession) of a powerful fiend. His house is no more and he is kind of on his own. I think he now believes that fiends and evil forces are just tools to be used on the higher path to elven ideals (beauty art, magical understanding etc.) he still hates drwo adn undead and works to enslave fiends rather than breeed and consort with them as the dlardrageths did. i guess ill have to take a look at the elven pantheon i guess adn pick a more loner god from there.

I believe there is information regarding the Eldreth Veluuthra and their worship of the Seldarine in Lord of Darkness, and possibly also Champions of Ruin. I think it went something along the lines of: considering there is no one-step rule for your patron deity, the Eldreth Veluuthra revere the gods of their ancestors, but there are few divine spellcasters, or none at all. I think they have a couple of druids, though. And Sheverash is the perfect candidate for members who are CN or CE. The Eldreth Veluuthra find the drow abhorrent, for the most part.

I find it impossible to believe that a group of elven supremecists would worship anyone *but* the Seldarine. Who else would they worship?

Not sure about the Dlardrageths and worship; they don't seem to be a very pious group. I just checked, and the only priest mentioned in their group (from Cloak and Dagger) is one of Ghaunadaur. Which makes sense for corrupted elves to worship the elder evil of corruption.

As for your wizard, it really depends. Does he think he's good, and is in fact just misguided? Then maybe he still worships the Seldarine as a group, or Corellon in particular. If he's more of a roguish, selfish evil that's really not all that bad (hmm, that didn't come out quite the way I wanted) then maybe he just worships Fenmarel Mestarine. If, on the other hand, he's more of a Dlardrageth type, then possibly Ghaunadaur, other dark gods, or no gods at all. I can't get more specific wihtout a better sense of the character, though.
