hi all, after some time busy in rl i red again through elminsters ecologies.

what caught me there - this time - was the mentioning that orcs maintain at least two iron mines in the stonelands area.

now, i would like to start a thread gathering all information where else orcs, goblinoid races, kobolds etc. maintain mines and other industries.

of course they must have them somewhere, but i wonder how much of it is actually written down in the sourcebooks.

the goblins of grodd for example breed animals to feed, even the lizardmen have large cities. . . .

looking forward on the input.

1E FRCA1 Ruins of Adventure (aka Pool of Radiance) contains a module which details a lizardman village. The so-called advanced lizardmen who are said to be much more developed and generally less hostile. It basically amounted to a large number of amphibious dwellings scattered across a swamp and interconnected through a complex aquatic tunnel system. Definitely not what humans would call a city.

The old FR1 and FR5 accessories note that orcs control ex-dwarven mines in the Spine of the World.
