Is there a compendium of known Realms heraldry? I know there's bits and pieces scattered around books and adventures over the years, but I was wondering if it had ever been collected into one place. I did some searching and looking around the 'Keep, and couldn't find anything obvious. Lots of individual "what's the coat of arms for city X or family Y", but no definitive collection. If someone knows of such a thing and could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks much,

Gold & Glory also has some mercenary groups' badges and symbols.

Back in July, I got a wild hair and decided to start drawing the Waterdhavian noble heraldic crests. I'm nowhere near a proper artist, but an old version of visio helps. If you can make use of any of them, go ahead and pull them down and use them. It was kind of fun to make them.

That's everything I found up through 2nd E - someone else can page through 3rd & 4th :P In all the only good sources for actual hearaldric symbols are from Waterdeep and Ravensbluff.
The Masked Mage Posted - 26 Oct 2013 : 00:21:13
Volo's guide to the Dalelands has a forge sigil on page 37
The Masked Mage Posted - 26 Oct 2013 : 00:18:33
As does Volo's guide to the North, though they are less specific.
The Masked Mage Posted - 26 Oct 2013 : 00:16:31
Volo's guide to the Sword Coast has ward token instead :P
The Masked Mage Posted - 26 Oct 2013 : 00:15:07
Volo's Guide to waterdeep has some of the family crests with more detail than the other sources.
The Masked Mage Posted - 26 Oct 2013 : 00:10:43
The City of Raven's Bluff had Family crests for all the noble families, coat of arms for the knight orders, etc.

2E Forgotten Realms Adventures is probably the closest thing to a compilation, although it‘s really just an assortment of common trail markers, noble crests, village pennants, symbols for large organizations, and (in)famous wizard sigils.

There‘s lots of stuff available through good image searches, but authenticity of canon is often dubious.

Secret's of the Sages Mailer had a little map of Halruaa (the best one in my opinion) that also had the Hulruaa "Badge"
The Masked Mage Posted - 26 Oct 2013 : 00:06:08
Ruins Of Zhentil Keep had a series of icons for all the areas/groups of influence.
The Masked Mage Posted - 26 Oct 2013 : 00:02:30
Menzoberranzan gave House symbols as well for the top noble houses
The Masked Mage Posted - 25 Oct 2013 : 23:55:55
Dwarves Deep had a fold out map with the runes of dwarven clans
The Masked Mage Posted - 25 Oct 2013 : 23:49:48
Waterdeep and the north had the Heraldry for the Waterdeep families (probably the source for City of Splendors)
The Masked Mage Posted - 25 Oct 2013 : 23:48:34
The Revised Campaign Setting had a repeat of the merchant signs as well as sigils for all the dales - still no heraldry though.
The Masked Mage Posted - 25 Oct 2013 : 23:46:35
The OGB had mage sigils on page 58 & 59 and merchant signs on page 63
The Masked Mage Posted - 25 Oct 2013 : 23:40:07
Cloak & Daggers has emblems or symbols for all the groups it details - not heraldry but similar enough to mention
The Masked Mage Posted - 25 Oct 2013 : 23:38:48
City of Splendors Boxed Set, Who's Who In Waterdeep Book, Page 8-Page 29 has the crests of the Waterdeep families.

Sadly, no, there isn't. I'm sure intrepid sages have gathered bits and pieces here and there, but there is no comprehensive listing of Realms heraldry.

I know I (and Ed) would love such a book, or website, or handout, or something to be available to players and DMs and readers in general, but alas, the closest we've gotten are the 2E boxed set's handouts.
