Posted - 08 Apr 2011 : 17:55:35 Greetings all! I am Chalaeus, a young scribe, and I'm hoping to add my tales to the world of FR. I'm needing help though, in nailing down the details. The entire premise of my story is that an elf child (main character) is conceived by a female of a royal house. The father of this child is thought to be a male elf, but is later discovered to be a demon that was wronged by the Seldarine (or one of them) and is trying to taint this ruling family's bloodline. When the child is born, the female's father (perhaps the Coronal) takes him away and the female elf believes the child to be dead. The Coronal gives the child to his advisor with instructions to mark him as banished and send him to a neighboring town. Meanwhile, the demon father returns (still in the guise of an elf) to claim his child. The female informs him that the child is dead and he goes into a rage, reverts back to his true form and kills the entire royal family before being sent back to the Abyss by the Coronal, who dies during their battle. The elf child, while being taken away is set upon by bandits (Orcs, or some race that dabbles in the trading of slaves) and the emissary carrying him is beaten, blinded, and left for dead.
My apologies for being long-winded. I need help resolving some issues: 1.) What elves could I use? 2.) Is there a kingdom of elves, be it past or present, that little is known about that I could use? 3.) I want the demon to be near deity. Perhaps he was one of the first elves created by Corellon, but was led astray somehow and either Corellon, or the entire Seldarine twisted him into some monstrosity and banished him to his very own level of the Abyss. Since there, he's grown in power, most likely by making pacts with evil deities. He detests all elves, even drow, though he may be somewhat tolerant of Lolth's children.
Well, there's much more that I need answered, but for now I'll leave it with this. If anyone can help by offering their knowledge, or perhaps just pointing me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. . . |
