Posted - 20 Oct 2008 : 00:49:02 Dear scribes,
I have recently awoken from my long sleep, and I have found the world tumbling upside down. Magic has gone wild and the face of Faerūn has changed, and so has her inhabitants. I am amazed and I feel an urge to rise from my bed and yet again adventure the Forgotten Realms.
I shall be brief in my introduction of myself. My name is Ousia Winterhide, shortly and preferred Ousia. I am a half-elven ranger of no origin since I was born on my mothers run from the Red Wizards of Thay. She was a ranger from Shadowdale and until my 17th birthday she was teaching me about the ways of the wildlife and the nonsense of universal laws constructed by elves, dwarves, halflings, mankind and all intelligent creatures bound together in communities. She followed and worshipped Silvanus, and I follow her on that path although my life has told me that fanatism leads to destruction. It has never been a question to me on how dedicated I could be, and I have never believed in the necessity of borders unnaturally created mostly by creatures of foul intentions. My mother told me a year or two before her travel onto yet another adventure that I shared my thoughts of ideology with my farther, a Llewyrr-Elf from Synnoria on the Island of Gwynneth, part of The Moonshae Isles. He left, my mother told me, after a revelation Synnoria to seek openness and fairness and that he did not find what he was looking for. Instead he met my mother and I am the outcome of that encounter.
Now that I am awake my first thoughts is of my farther and I will start looking for him in tombs describing the history, heroic stories and fables of Synnoria. And that is why I have come to you, dear scribes. I have come here with a hope that you will aid me with your knowledge on the Realms and its history and fables. Where do I look for information on Synnoria?
Yours truly Ousia

In real life I am a Danish male, aged 36 and a farther of a newborn son to whom Ill write and tell stories from the Forgotten Realms, the (Advanced) Dungeons & Dragons campaign system I held so dear when I was in my late teens. The last story I did hear from the Realms was about the now famous Drizzt Do'Urden and a crystal shard and the struggle of the people from Ten Towns. I am most happy to experience that he is doing so well
The long sleep I was referring to in the beginning of this thread is the many years that other matters have occupied my everyday life. Ive been a long distance driver, a student of philosophy, a web designer, an art dealer (my current occupation) and dated about 50 different women in order to find my true love Malene, the mother of my son Isaac (age 10 days).

Posted - 23 Oct 2008 : 17:36:12 -Eventually, Elves of Faerūn will have an article for Synnoria. Don't expect one tomorrow, or the day after, since it isn't that high on my priority list, and no one else has stepped up to tackle it. |

Posted - 20 Oct 2008 : 01:37:36 The two Moonshae trilogies and the Moonshae sourcebook. Halls of the High King module. The Villians and Heroes Lorebooks from 2e. Hall of Heroes as well, which was the 1e version of those two lorebooks.
Might also be some Synnoria material in the Evermeet novel. |
