Posted - 02 Oct 2008 : 00:04:48 Right now all I know is that Uvaeren was an elf kingdom where Mistledale now stands and that it was wiped out by a meteor strike several thousand years before even Cormanthor was founded.
Can anyone else guide me in the direction of further lore and knowledge about this land and what it was like?
For that matter, are we sure that the meteor strike was a wholly natural event? The elves were pretty savage with each other at one point, and it shouldn't be beyond elven high magic to call down a meteor against an enemy... |

Posted - 02 Oct 2008 : 09:32:02 Uvaeren was founded after the Crown Wars, and was a realm devoted to peaceful ways and most of all to scholarship. Its libraries are said to have never been equalled for breadth of lore and learning.
The meteor strike may have been magical, but was more likely Netherese than elven in origin. Or it may have been a random stroke of truly bad luck.
Lost Empires of Faerun has more, under the Cormanthyr chapter, as does Cormanthyr: Empire of the Elves. |

[rolling... 17+ knowledge elf history = 29] Sorry no.. dont know diddelly about it, but I would say that at that time some 30.000 years ago magic was greater than it has ever been since, and a meteor ,magically created or pulled from the vastnes of the multivers would be no biggy for the High-Wizards of the elves!
